I sold all  my film cameras in 2002 and went “all in” on digital. I used the money I made plus birthday money to buy a four-megapixal camera for $500. It was a Minolta DiMage S404. It wasn’t the best camera available but it was the best I could find for $500. It’s funny because I currently have a 12 megapixal Nikon camera sitting in my drawer that I don’t think I will ever use because the quality isn’t good enough. I paid one dollar for it.

This photo is from my early digital camera and I think it shows that photography is not all about the camera. It is a lake in a campground, or retreat, called Luther Springs in Florida in 2005.
